About us
We’re John and Mel Bjorgen. Before moving to Belize we lived in Chandler, AZ for two years while raising support. John is originally from Anaheim, CA and Mel is from College Park, MD. We have two girls and a baby boy. Evangeline is three and a half and is very active and lively. Ellis is ten months and is as sweet as can be and so smiley. Malachi is 12 weeks and is super chill as long as someone is holding him. God has blessed our family greatly.
The Lord has called us to be missionaries in Belize, so we’re following in obedience to Him, no matter the cost. This site exists to glorify God by allowing us to share with others His perfect plan and provision as we run the race set before us.
We are serving as full-time staff at the Belize Mission and Retreat at Turtle Shores. The Belize mission provides opportunities for believers to experience mission work on a short-term or mid-term basis. In addition to reaching the people of Belize for Christ, we are hoping to influence other believers to become more involved with missions on a regular basis through their experience on the field.
